For the inaugural trip in 2007, 25 YBPs sailed on a 5 day cruise making stops at Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands & Ocho Rios, Jamaica. While in Grand Cayman, we took in the beautiful landscape and visited the Stingrays. In Jamaica, our highlight was climbing Dunn's River Falls.
After having a great time on the first YBP Cruisin' we did it again in 2008; this time on a 7 day cruise (stopping in Half Moon Cay, Bahamas; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas, USVI; & Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos) with a group of 75 YBPs. In Bahamas we had a private island BBQ, in Puerto Rico we took a magical tour of the rainforest, we toured St. Thomas and encountered many iguanas, and kicked back in Grand Turk at Margaritaville.
In 2009, we decided to have a "Land Edition" and traveled with 65 YBPs to Cancun, Mexico. Although the group was smaller, due to the Swine Flu scare - we had a blast at the all-inclusive RIU Palace Las Americas Cancun. Excursions included a trek to Chichen Itza and a private Catamaran Sunset Cruise. Of course, we did our fair share of partying in Cancun too!
Since the all-inclusive resort was a hit, we did it another YBP Cruisin' "Land Edition" in 2010 - this time with 114 YBPs at the all-inclusive Dreams Palm Beach Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We had the opportunity to tour a Dominican village, and turned the sunset cruise into the first ever All-White Booze Cruise which later would become a YBP staple.
For the 5th annual vacation, now renamed YBP Escape - 98 YBPs traveled to Costa Rica. I must say, the excursions this year were AMAZING! We went zip lining and experienced volcanic mud baths on the Borinquen Day Tour and toured the coast of Guanacaste on ATVs. We also had the now infamous All White Booze Cruise which did not disappoint!
What happens in Jamaica, stays in Jamaica - but I’m sure if you ask the 100 YBPs who attended the 6th annual YBP Escape we can all say we made memories to last a lifetime. Our experience at the RIU Ocho Rios was superb and visits to the Luminous Lagoon, Dunn’s Rivers Fall (our 2nd time!) and Nine Mile rounded out our experience with a bit of adventure. Can’t forget the annual all-white booze cruise, but again... what happens in Jamaica, stays in Jamaica :-)
53 YBPers in Barcelona and Ibiza created an experience like none other. From touring the city sighting landmarks such as the La Sagrada Familia to good times in Port Olímpic, Barcelona left nothing to be desired. The good times ensued in Ibiza, where we enjoyed some rest & relaxation and even partied with David Guetta at his world-renowned F*** Me I’m Famous party - YBP Escape 2013 provided the perfect mix of culture and fun.
Despite this being the smallest YBP Escape to date, the experience was grand. Calling this the “Luxury Edition” we abandoned the traditional hotel and stayed in luxury 1- and 2-bedroom condos right in the heart of Barbados’ St. Lawrence Gap.
Crop Over! What can we say? A caribbean carnival is a must-experience, and we’re glad to have shared Barbados’ annual festival with 20 YBPs. Literally attending fete after fete after fete after fete, we had the privilege to party with the best of them at Roast, Bliss, Limerz Cruise and Caesars’ Army A.M. Bush.
For 2015’s 2nd YBP Escape we took a more cultural approach and spent 8-nights exploring the beautiful cities of Salvador de Bahia and Rio de Janeiro. Pão de queijo and açaí bowls were in abundance, but experiencing Pelourinho, Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain were among the highlights of this trip.
